Upturn Arts is a fun and creative program that teaches children in the New Orleans community to explore and build confidence in themselves as artists. Our mission is to provide “Arts for All”.

A unique feature of Upturn Arts’s summer camp is that young artists have an opportunity to work with Master Artists, such as David Shaw of The Revivalists, Tank and the Bangas, Mike Doussan, and more.

Another bonus of Upturn Arts Summer Camp 2018 is that creARTive grants are available for middle- and low-income families to subsidize the cost of tuition, ensuring the mission, “Arts for All”. Camp begins June 4 with six different themed sessions and ends the week of August 10.

“Due to the nature of our organization, we hope to provide creARTive Grants to at least 50% of the young artists who attend our programming. One of our goals is to engage the immediate neighborhood and directly impact those families that live around our site.” says Executive Director, Dana Reed. Upturn Arts is located at Nola Spaces at 1719 Toledano Street.
